Climate Change

Irvington is addressing Climate Change in numerous ways including participating in Climate Smart  Communities and Climate Action Planning. Extensive and on-going flood risk assessments have resulted in significant mitigation capital projects. Climate education is on-going through a series of talks, many of which are specific to Irvington issues and opportunities.

Irvington is also a Clean Energy Community, a NYSERDA program to implement clean energy actions, save energy costs, create jobs, and improve the environment. Learn more about it on our Energy page here.
