Hastings Zero Waste has researched the most environmentally responsible textile recycler and installed a Green Tree Textiles bin at the back of Zinsser Commuter parking lot Learn more here. Other companies ship clothes to poorer countries where they become their waste problem.

Helpsy
Now picking up in Irvington!
The largest textile collection company in the Northwast, Helpsy is a for-profit B corp with a mission to keep clothes out of the trash. 95% of what they collect is reused (50%), upcycled or recycled (45%).
Beginning Saturday, March 2, 2024, pickups in Irvington will take place weekly on Saturday from your curb, by appointment only. They will collect a minimum of 3 bags of textiles.

Green Drop: Clothing, Housewares
"Give back to individuals in need and make a charitable donation at Green Drop's White Plains, NY, location. GreenDrop has affiliated with the American Red Cross, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, and the National Federation of the Blind. We help them raise funds through the collection of your gently used clothing and housewares."
